SHARC VE Schedule
Spring 2026 schedule.
South Hills Amateur Radio Club, Inc. sponsors volunteer exams at least 4 times a year. Our exams are held at the Upper St. Clair Township Library, multi-purpose roon, 1st floor. All applicants must pre-register.

Our 1-day Technician crash course & exam:
Technician Class Course - April 18th, 2026, 10am to 4pm - Upper St. Clair Township Library, multi-purpose room, 1st floor.
Technician Class Course (ages 12 and up) - Bring a calculator. We will provide the study guide, scratch paper & club pen for you to keep. The class is free!
Technician, General & Extra Class Exams - April 25th, 2026, 2 to 4pm - Upper St. Clair Township Library, multi-purpose room, 1st floor. (SHARC Get-together canceled for this day)
We will take occasional 10 minute breaks and lunch is from 12 noon to 12:30pm. We will have refreshments (snacks & drinks) but you are encouraged to bring a lunch.
This is a 1 day crash course. We have a lot of material to cover in a short period of time. Pre-registration is required, as we need to know how many study guides to print.
We have obtained permission to use the study guide by its originator. Send us an email to KS3R@sharc.net or leave us a message at 724-263-1289 to register.
Technician, General & Extra Class Exam - We ask that you pre-register but we will accept walk-ins. This will tell us how many exams we need to print. Send us an email at KS3R@sharc.net. Our VE Testing Team will provide all pens, pencils, forms (including the NVEC 605), scratch paper, or a calculator if you need one.

All candidates will receive a SHARC club pen. It's our way of saying thanks for testing with us!
Snacks and drinks will be provided courtesy of South Hills ARC. Restrooms are available across the hall.
