Using a slingshot and nylon fishing line,
Ron managed to hit his target which allowed
us to set-up the club's antennas for Field Day.

Ron and SHARC made the media news on this day.
Ron was interviewed by the Post Gazette, Observer Reporter
& KDKA-TV who all came out to cover our Field Day event.
SHARC-3 Commissioning - June 10, 2000
After literally months in the making, Ron
flips the big switch and launches SHARC-3,
a 6 meter repeater into full service

taller than Ron and the rest of us!

Ron was proud to be an Amateur Radio
Operator and boldly displayed his call
letters on the vehicle that he drove.
His call letters now identify SHARC-3's
6-meter repeater in his memory.
