When using Garmin's WebUpdater, to insure that your unit doesn't die due to low battery power during the firmware update, try this: 1. Perform the update as usual. 2. Select to SAFELY REMOVE the Nuvi in Windows. 3. Remove the data cable from the Nuvi. 4. Immediately plug the unit into the AC wall charger. This will insure your Nuvi has a good power source when the firmware is initializing and rebooting. No need to have a fully charged battery when performing an update. |
