(There may be horizontal or vertical lines that appear on the screen that won't go away (See Figure #2).) I do know that if your erase the GarminDevice.xml file (make a backup of what you have now 1st), when you reboot the Nuvi, it will create a new one for you. As far as the GUPDATE.GCD file, that file is created whenever you perfom a firmware update. Once the update is complete, you can delete that file as it is no longer needed.
