If your Nuvi 3xx or 6xx says "Erase All User Data?" and asks you to select "Yes or "No", during its boot-up, press the power button or reset button in the back and turn it off. The "Erase All User Data" screen is usually brought up by putting your finger in the upper right-hand corner of the screen and holding it there while turning the unit on. If this message is coming up on its own, this means something is causing the touchscreen to be pressed in the upper right-hand corner. Look around the bezel underneath it where the touchscreen meets the bezel? Are they are foreign objects stuck in there? If so, remove them. Take a credit card and run it along the bezel between the bezel and the touchscreen. Be careful not to gouge or scratch the touchscreen. Sometimes the bezel itself may be bowed inward pushing on the touchscreen. Again, use a credit card and run it between the bezel and the touchscreen, slightly lifting upward to alleviate the bowing of the bezel. |
