My Garmin Nuvi 1300 was working fine Friday morning, but when I went to use it Friday afternoon, it showed no signs of life. It doesn't matter if I plug it into the cigarette charger, a cable with my computer, or an outlet, it will not turn on - even after holding the power button for a minute. Anyone know what is wrong with it?

Hi Rebekah, there can be many causes. The Nuvi 13xx series is well known for having problems with the USB port. I would start looking there first. Please check out this link regarding the USB port.

It is possible that the unit just died but unlikely if it worked the last time that you used it.

The port could have broke and you may not have noticed it and the battery would not be able to be charged. The battery dies and so the unit can't be turned on with the charger or USB urged into a pc.

In this case, the port must be replaced or resoldered and reinforced.

Hi, Have a Nuvi 1390 that likely has a port problem based on reading above link and need to have it repaired. I know you are not accepting any devices at this time. If it likely to change soon??

I forgot to check back for an answer! Oops! I was able to coax a little more life back into it, but once again it won't turn on. Is it possible to have it repaired? I, too, keep checking to see if your accepting devices for repair, but your webpage hasn't changed to accepting any yet.
